Review the safety and eligibility section on the relevant program page and follow the prescribing clinician’s instructions and the prescription label.
Prescription medications can cause serious side effects, including allergic reactions. Get emergency help for swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, difficulty breathing, severe abdominal pain, chest pain, fainting, or a severe skin reaction. Tell your clinician about every medication, supplement, and medical condition you have, including pregnancy, plans to become pregnant, and breastfeeding, before starting treatment. Some medications prescribed through telehealth carry FDA boxed warnings; where one applies to a treatment recommended to you, the prescribing clinician will review it with you and it appears in the FDA-approved prescribing information and the Medication Guide dispensed with your prescription. Read both, and follow the prescription label.
Do not share prescription medication with anyone, do not adjust your own dose, and store and dispose of medication as instructed. Report suspected side effects to your clinician and to the FDA MedWatch program at fda.gov/medwatch or 1-800-FDA-1088. Athletes should confirm the rules of their sport or governing body before starting any treatment.
