Consumer health data
Consumer health data may include information submitted about health interests, symptoms, care requests, or treatment eligibility.
Under Washington’s My Health My Data Act, Nevada SB 370, Connecticut’s health-data provisions, and comparable state laws, consumer health data can include:
- the treatment area or program you select
- symptoms, conditions, measurements, and health history you enter in an intake or contact form
- medications and allergies
- information about care you have sought, received, or been found ineligible for
- bodily functions and vital signs
- gender-affirming and reproductive-health information where submitted
- precise location where it could identify an attempt to obtain health services
- any inference we draw from the above that identifies your past, present, or future physical or mental health status
We treat all of it as sensitive. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use geofencing around any health care facility.
Collection and use
We collect consumer health data directly from you when you complete a form, and from the clinical and fulfillment partners named in the footer when they update the status of your care or order. We use it only to: route you to the correct program; make your information available to the licensed clinician reviewing your intake; enable the pharmacy to dispense and ship an approved prescription; provide customer support; keep records required by law; and secure the service. Processors (hosting, secure form and email delivery, SMS delivery, payment processing, error monitoring) act only on our written instructions and may not use the data for their own purposes. We share consumer health data with affiliates only where needed to deliver the service under the same restrictions. We do not disclose it to third parties for their own marketing, and we will not disclose it in response to a request concerning lawful health care sought in another state except where a valid, legally binding order compels us.
Your rights
You may:
- confirm whether we collect, share, or sell your consumer health data and access it, including a list of every third party and affiliate with which it has been shared, with contact details
- withdraw consent to collection and to sharing
- request deletion, in which case we delete it from all our records — including backups on their next cycle — and notify our processors and affiliates to do the same, unless a law or a clinical record-keeping obligation requires retention
We obtain separate, revocable written authorization before any sale of consumer health data; we currently do not sell it and have none to report. Submit a request through the Contact page or to support@meandyouhealth.com. We respond within 45 days, with one 45-day extension where needed, and you may appeal a refusal free of charge by replying “appeal”; if an appeal is denied we will tell you how to contact your state attorney general.
